El secretario de Seguridad, Omar García Harfuch, aseguró que toda cooperación del gobierno de Estados Unidos es bienvenida, luego de que el subsecretario de Estado de EU, Christopher Landau, ofreciera apoyo para fortalecer el combate al crimen organizado.
Harfuch señaló que México mantiene una colaboración estrecha con autoridades de seguridad extranjeras y que cualquier información que contribuya a las investigaciones será recibida.
El ofrecimiento de Landau se dio tras el asesinato de Carlos Manzo, alcalde de Uruapan, Michoacán, ocurrido durante una celebración del Día de Muertos.
