Tras el anuncio de la presidenta de México, Claudia Sheinbaum, sobre que los gobernadores de Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León y Tamaulipas se manifestaron de acuerdo con la apertura de presas para cumplir con el Tratado de Aguas de 1944 con Estados Unidos, la mandataria del estado, Maru Campos lo catalogó como un comentario.
Campos aseveró que continuará protegiendo los intereses de los agricultores y ganaderos del estado, al igual con quienes se han visto afectados ante el cierre de la frontera con Estados Unidos.
Con sus propias palabras la gobernadora dijo “el agua es de los chihuahuenses, eso que quede muy claro.”
Destacó la coordinación con la Federación y otros estados pretendiendo un trabajo conjunto, sin embargo subrayó que la negociación sobre el agua corresponde a los estados.
