El Presidente Municipal, Cruz Pérez Cuéllar asistió esta noche a uno de los eventos deportivos esperados, el cual tuvo lugar en el Gimnasio de la Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez.
En compañía de su esposa, la presidenta del Sistema para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia (DIF), Rubí Enríquez Parada, así como su hija Regina Pérez Enríquez, pudieron ser testigos del talento que las y los pugilistas mostraron en el ring.
El encuentro estelar pactado a 10 rounds corrió por parte de Miguel “El Fantástico” Esparza, quien se enfrentó al japonés Shun “Takeda” Sekine. La victoria fue para el mexicano quien venció por nocaut técnico en el asalto número 7 al boxeador nipón.
Asimismo, la oriunda de esta frontera, Diana “La Bonita” Fernández dio su batalla contra Terumi Nuki Osaka de Japón; luego de los 10 rounds convenidos y por decisión unánime quedó victoriosa la fronteriza.
Acompañaron también al alcalde el Diputado Federal, Alejandro Pérez Cuéllar; el director de Servicios Públicos del Municipio, Arturo Rivera Barreno; el director del Instituto Municipal de Investigación y Planeación, Roberto Mora Palacios; y el director de Gobierno, Óscar Murillo.
