Ataque ruso contra Kyiv provoca daños en las embajadas

EFE.- Un ataque ruso contra la ciudad de Kyiv este viernes causó daños materiales “relativamente leves” en las embajadas de varios países, como Portugal, Argentina, Albania y Montenegro, informó el ministro de Exteriores luso, Paulo Rangel, quien anunció la presentación de una “protesta formal” a Rusia.

Rangel precisó en declaraciones a los periodistas en Cascais (área metropolitana de Lisboa) que no tienen registro de heridos en el equipo de la embajada de Portugal en Kyiv, que está en el mismo edificio que las de Argentina, Albania y Montenegro.

“Esto es altamente condenable. Cualquier ataque de Rusia a Ucrania y a la ciudad de Kyiv merece nuestra más fuerte condena, pero es absolutamente inaceptable que pueda haber ataques que tengan impacto o afecten a instalaciones diplomáticas”, defendió el ministro, quien dijo que han convocado en Lisboa al encargado de Negocios de la embajada rusa para presentar una protesta formal, ya que el embajador no está en la capital.

Según sus datos, en las instalaciones lusas en Kyiv se ha roto algunas ventanas y algunas puertas han quedado “afectadas”.

El ministro portugués insistió en que, según las reglas diplomáticas internacionales, es absolutamente inaceptable que se ataque a las misiones diplomáticas.

Cuestionado sobre posibles acciones a nivel europeo, Rangel alegó que en primer lugar están centrados en dar una respuesta nacional y que impulsarán diligencias “a otro nivel un poco más tarde”.

Entre las instalaciones afectadas también están las de la embajada de Macedonia del Norte, ubicada en el distrito de Holosiiv, según informaron las autoridades del país.

“No se han registrado heridos entre nuestro personal diplomático durante el ataque, pero sí daños materiales en la Embajada”, señaló el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de Macedonia del Norte.

La alta representante de la Unión Europea para Asuntos Exteriores y Seguridad, Kaja Kallas, condenó el ataque contra Portugal en un mensaje publicado en la red social X y defendió que “ninguna representación diplomática debería ser blanco de ataque o incluso impactada”.

“Esto es otro ataque bárbaro de Rusia contra objetivos civiles que no muestra ninguna voluntad de paz. Expreso mi total solidaridad al personal diplomático”, escribió.
