Para minimizar los efectos de las bajas temperaturas que provocó la nevada que cayó en la Capital, el alcalde Marco Bonilla llevó cobijas, despensas y chamarras a las familias de la colonia El Mimbre, que se ubica a la altura de la Puerta de Chihuahua.
El operativo estuvo a cargo de personal del DIF Municipal y la Dirección de Desarrollo Humano y Educación, quienes tienen detectadas las colonias más vulnerables por las bajas temperaturas, una de ellas la colonia El Mimbre.
Marco Bonilla, el director del DIF Municipal Mario Alarcón y el director de Desarrollo Humano Mario García, tocaron la puerta de cada uno de los hogares para entregar los apoyos. En los domicilios donde había niñas o niños, entregaban una chamarra de acuerdo a su edad, además de las cobijas y despensas.
Los vecinos de la zona, también recibieron hule negro para que cubrieran las goteras de sus techos, con el fin de mantener seco el interior de sus hogares.
