La Primera Sala de la Corte Suprema de Brasil anunció que la fase final del juicio por golpismo contra el expresidente Jair Bolsonaro comenzará el próximo 2 de septiembre.
El presidente de ese brazo del Supremo, Cristiano Zanin, decidió además que, si fuera necesario, serán celebradas audiencias los días 3, 9, 10 y 12 de septiembre, cuando deberá concluir el juicio que determinará si el líder de la ultraderecha será condenado por un presunto intento de golpe de Estado.
Además de Bolsonaro serán juzgados otros siete acusados de formar parte del llamado “núcleo central” de la trama golpista, que al igual que el exmandatario se enfrentan a condenas que podrían oscilar entre doce y cuarenta años de prisión.
Zanin determinó la fecha para el juicio oral a pedido del relator del proceso, Alexandre de Moraes, quien presentó su solicitud este jueves, después de que los ocho acusados entregaron sus alegaciones finales.
