La Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores confirmó sobre un lamentable accidente ocurrido el día de ayer, 16 de octubre, en el condado Clinton, Michigan, en el cual una aeronave privada con matrícula mexicana se accidentó. Tres personas perdieron la vida, todas de nacionalidad mexicana.
El Consulado de México en Detroit implementó el protocolo ante emergencias y contactó al Departamento de Policía de Bath, Michigan, y autoridades competentes con la finalidad de conocer el resultado de las investigaciones y coadyuvar en la asistencia y protección consular que se requiera.
Asimismo, el Consulado contactó a las familias de las personas fallecidas y continuará la colaboración con las autoridades locales para su eventual repatriación, así como para brindar asistencia y acompañamiento consular a los familiares de las víctimas que lo requieran.
