El Departamento del Tesoro de Estados Unidos anunció este viernes que impuso sanciones al presidente de Colombia, Gustavo Petro, por su papel en el tráfico de drogas a nivel internacional.
El presidente estadounidense, Donald Trump, amenazó el fin de semana con aumentar los aranceles a Colombia y dijo el miércoles que se había detenido toda la financiación al país sudamericano.
De acuerdo con la Oficina de Control de Activos Extranjeros (OFAC), Petro es señalado de haber participado o intentado participar en actividades o transacciones que han contribuido o representan un riesgo significativo de contribuir a la proliferación internacional de drogas ilícitas o sus medios de producción.
