Desde hace 5 años el Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) cuenta con un terreno que el Ayuntamiento de Chihuahua le donó para la construcción de un nuevo hospital, pero nunca lo usó y sigue como lote baldío.
Marco Bonilla Mendoza, alcalde de la ciudad de Chihuahua, comentó que el lote se entregó desde la administración municipal de la ahora gobernadora, María Eugenia Campos Galván, cuando era alcaldesa, y está ubicado en la zona noreste de la mancha urbana, más allá de la colonia Villas del Rey.
Admitió que este año él y su equipo municipal han “tenido un acercamiento”, con el Sindicato del IMSS, y con el Secretario de Salud del Gobierno del Estado, para analizar la posibilidad de entregar un nuevo solar a la entidad federal, que pudiera ser más céntrico, y se acordó que en 15 días se reunirían para analizar el tema, juntos.
“Quedamos de sostener una reunión para poder ponernos de acuerdo en el terreno, en las opciones que tenemos, ahí hay opciones que podemos nosotros valorar, para poder ahora sí que donar un espacio”, comentó.
Sin embargo, recalcó que al haber un antecedente de contar con una donación y no ser utilizada, el Ayuntamiento quiere establecer que la situación no se replique y se desperdicie el lugar.
“Podemos hacerlo sin grandes problemas, y nosotros tenemos plena disposición de colaborar con el IMSS, pero lo que sí no queremos, bajo ninguna circunstancia, yo lo he dejado muy claro con el Secretario de Salud, con el Secretario del Ayuntamiento, que ha tenido acercamiento con con personal del IMSS, es estar donando terrenos para que pasen ahí los años y sigan como terrenos baldíos”, advirtió.
Por ello, recalcó que se exigirá un compromiso de parte del IMSS, de que al recibir el lote, la ciudad de Chihuahua “vamos a contar con la construcción de un hospital a la brevedad posible, a la brevedad que sea presupuestalmente posible para el Gobierno Federal”.
