El Presidente Municipal, Héctor Rafael Ortiz Orpinel, fue el encargado de dar el arranque de la 11va Edición de la Carrera del Día Internacional de la Mujer, competencia con la que se abre el Circuito Pedestre 2025.
Este evento se llevó a cabo en el Parque Extremo donde el alcalde resaltó la importancia de la mujer en la vida cotidiana y en sus esfuerzos para hacer una mejor comunidad.
Sobre este evento, Sarahí de los Santos, coordinadora de Desarrollo Deportivo, del Instituto Municipal del Deporte, informó que se inscribieron mil 850 participantes.
Dio a conocer que esta competencia arrancó a las 08:00 horas y se dividió en dos, una de tres kilómetros y una de 10.
En este evento se contó con la presencia de la regidora Karla Escalante, coordinadora de la Comisión del Deporte; Martha Patricia Mendoza Rodríguez, coordinadora de la Comisión de la Mujer y Equidad de Género.
El Presidente Ortiz Orpinel se encargó de dar las medallas a los ganadores a quienes reconoció su esfuerzo y su entrega en participar en este tipo de eventos y así demostrar que Juárez es una ciudad de hombres y mujeres que se esfuerzan por ser mejores.
