David Kershenobich, secretario de Salud, presentó el que será el próximo centro diagnóstico de alta especialidad, del Instituto Nacional de Salud de México. Se trata del desarrollo de las nuevas instalaciones dentro de la Comisión Nacional de Bioética, ubicada en Tlalpan, entre Anillo Periférico y Calzada Arenal.
En el centro se contará con al menos 3 equipos para realizar PET para la detección de cáncer y otras enfermedades. Se espera que se realicen 90 estudios al día, ya que contarán con un horario de atención de 7:00 horas a las 22:00 horas.
A la par, se contará con 5 equipos para realizar resonancias magnéticas, con ello se estima que se realicen 100 estudios por día, aproximadamente.
