El director general de Protección Civil de Ciudad Juárez, Sergio Rodríguez, exhortó a la población a no utilizar pirotecnia en estas fiestas decembrinas, tanto en Navidad como en Año Nuevo, porque son muchos los riesgos que se corren con su uso.
Pidió evitar por completo la compra y uso de estos artefactos, ya que pueden generarse graves consecuencias derivadas de su manipulación.
Explicó que uno de los principales riesgos es el impacto en la seguridad de las personas, pues la pirotecnia puede provocar heridas graves, quemaduras, amputaciones e incluso la muerte, especialmente en niños y jóvenes que juegan con estos artefactos sin supervisión de un adulto.
Comentó que estos productos son responsables de numerosos incendios, debido a la dispersión de chispas y materiales inflamables.
El director de Protección Civil también enfatizó los efectos negativos en la población más vulnerable, como las personas con trastornos sensoriales (incluidos aquellos con sensibilidad al ruido) y las mascotas, que sufren estrés severo debido a las explosiones y sonidos intensos.
“Es una responsabilidad colectiva cuidar de nuestra comunidad y evitar que estas situaciones afecten a quienes más dependen de nosotros”, comentó Rodríguez.
Insistió en pedir a los padres de familia a no permitir que los niños compren o manipulen pirotecnia, ya que el acceso a estos productos puede convertirse rápidamente en una tragedia.
Recordó que ante cualquier situación relacionada con el uso de pirotecnia, es fundamental contactar de inmediato al teléfono 911 para recibir apoyo de los servicios de emergencia.
“Hacemos un llamado a la conciencia colectiva, porque evitar el uso de pirotecnia no solo previene accidentes, sino que también contribuye a mantener la tranquilidad y seguridad de nuestras familias y vecinos”, concluyó Rodríguez.
Esta temporada, dijo el director de Protección Civil, se insiste en la importancia de optar por celebraciones seguras y responsables, priorizando la protección de todos los ciudadanos.
