La Secretaría de Salud hizo un llamado a las y los chihuahuenses en el marco de las festividades de Nochebuena, Navidad y Año Nuevo, para evitar los excesos en cuanto al consumo de alimentos o bebidas alcohólicas.
Jorge Alain Carmona Sawatsky, coordinador del Programa de Salud del Adulto y Adulto Mayor de los Servicios de Salud en Chihuahua, señaló que el consumo inapropiado de alimentos que contienen muchas calorías, con altas concentraciones de azúcares, de grasas saturadas y de sodio, implican un compromiso a la salud, sobre todo en personas que padecen enfermedades crónicas no trasmisibles, debido a que se incrementa el descontrol y puede provocar una descompensación.
Para disminuir el riesgo de sufrir un problema digestivo a causa del ayuno prolongado, la sobre ingesta de alcohol y de alimentos, el especialista recomendó realizar los cinco tiempos de alimentos: desayuno, colación matutina, comida, colación vespertina y cena, no consumir grandes cantidades de alimentos en las noches y antes de dormir, porque esto puede provocar un problema digestivo.
Expresó que, a causa del consumo inapropiado en esta temporada, se incrementan las valoraciones médicas por problemas digestivos, colitis, gastro colitis, problemas de inflamación de hígado, de vesícula biliar o colecistitis, pancreatitis y síndromes coronarios.
Es por esto que el doctor Carmona exhortó a la ciudadanía a comer y beber con moderación en esta temporada de celebraciones para evitar complicaciones de salud.
