Durante el arranque del operativo, la delegada de los Programas para el Bienestar en el estado de Chihuahua, Mayra Chávez Jiménez, destacó el papel fundamental que desempeñan las comunidades escolares en la transformación del sistema educativo nacional:
“En esta frontera, ejemplo de esfuerzo y participación social, reconocemos que el bienestar comienza desde las aulas. Hoy damos un paso más en la consolidación de un modelo educativo justo, en el que las decisiones y los recursos estén en manos de quienes viven cotidianamente las necesidades de nuestras niñas y niños. Con el programa La Escuela Es Nuestra, no sólo entregamos tarjetas, estamos construyendo futuro desde abajo, desde la comunidad”, señaló.
La jornada contó con la presencia de Eliel García, coordinador estatal del programa, y Omar García Palomares, director regional de los Programas para el Bienestar en Ciudad Juárez, quienes, junto a madres, padres de familia, personal docente y autoridades educativas, encabezaron la distribución de tarjetas del Banco del Bienestar.
En Ciudad Juárez, el programa “La Escuela Es Nuestra” benefició a 165 planteles educativos —157 de nivel básico y 8 de media superior— mediante una inversión directa cercana a los 91 millones de pesos, de los cuales 81.2 millones se destinaron a escuelas primarias y secundarias, y 9.7 millones a instituciones de nivel medio superior.
En esta etapa del operativo, se beneficiará a escuelas públicas de nivel básico en distintas colonias de Ciudad Juárez, permitiendo a los Comités Escolares de Administración Participativa (CEAP) ejercer los recursos de forma directa para mejorar infraestructura física escolar, priorizando acciones como rehabilitación de techos, sanitarios, aulas, mobiliario y condiciones de accesibilidad.
La Escuela Es Nuestra es un programa del Gobierno de México que tiene como finalidad consolidar entornos escolares dignos, seguros y funcionales, mediante un modelo de gestión comunitaria que contribuye al desarrollo integral de las y los estudiantes.
