De visita en la Casa del Abuelo de la Ciudad Deportiva, la gobernadora Maru Campos llevó diversos obsequios a los usuarios, con quienes intercambió puntos de vista sobre las adecuaciones realizadas al recinto.
Como parte del inicio de las celebraciones navideñas, recorrió las instalaciones e interactuó con los adultos mayores, a quienes expresó su compromiso de mantener en óptimas condiciones el lugar.
El Gobierno del Estado cuenta con 7 casas del abuelo, distribuidas en Hidalgo del Parral, Cuauhtémoc, Ciudad Juárez y Chihuahua, en los que se atiende a 2 mil usuarios.
Estos espacios cuentan con 50 instructores que imparten talleres como: ajedrez, danza, música, pintura, inglés, taichí, yoga, pilates, tejido, bisutería, entre otros. Además, a partir de este año se imparten terapias de psicología en las 4 casas del abuelo de Chihuahua.
Alumnas y alumnos de la clase de taichí mostraron a la titular del Ejecutivo algunos de los ejercicios aprendidos en clase, además conversó con participantes de las sesiones de yoga, manualidades, karaoke, dominó y tejido.
Posteriormente la mandataria encabezó el sorteo de diversos regalos: “Venimos aquí a cumplir y estar presentes en una promesa que les hicimos hace más de un año, de los minisplits, las teles, los garrafones”, comentó.
En los últimos meses, el Gobierno del Estado ha invertido más de 2 millones de pesos en la remodelación y equipamiento de las instalaciones de la Casa de los Abuelos, de la Ciudad Deportiva, reflejo del compromiso que su administración tiene con las y los adultos mayores.
Adicionalmente, la Secretaría de Desarrollo humano y Bien Común ha brindado apoyos alimenticios a más de 8 mil 400 personas mayores.
