El Estado de Chihuahua avanzó una posición en la evaluación del Índice de Competitividad Estatal (ICE), elaborado por el Instituto Mexicano de Competitividad (IMCO), que evalúa la capacidad que tienen las entidades federativas para generar, atraer y retener talento e inversión.
Chihuahua se colocó en la octava posición nacional en este rubro, un escalón más arriba respecto al año anterior, gracias a sus avances en rubros como sistema político y gobierno, derecho y percepción de seguridad.
Durante la presentación de este estudio, que se llevó a cabo en el Centro de Convenciones, la gobernadora Maru Campos afirmó que estos datos son un diagnóstico con evidencia científica suficiente, para generar la política pública de los últimos dos años y medio de su administración.
Ante la presencia de autoridades de los tres niveles de Gobierno, empresarios, académicos y representantes de la sociedad civil, la mandataria agradeció a los distintos sectores de la población, que han contribuido al crecimiento de Chihuahua.
Resaltó que su Gobierno solo puede entenderse desde la estrecha colaboración con la ciudadanía organizada y el sector productivo.
Recordó que desde sus inicios como alcaldesa en 2016, se adoptó una Plataforma de Inteligencia Competitiva (PIC) para el diseño e implementación de políticas públicas, lo que marcó un precedente en la planificación estratégica del desarrollo estatal.
La jefa del Ejecutivo reconoció los retos actuales que enfrenta el Estado, por lo que reiteró su compromiso de trabajar de manera coordinada con todos los sectores, para reducir brechas y generar condiciones de bienestar en todo el territorio.
Destacó además los avances en el manejo financiero del Estado, al reducir a la mitad el porcentaje de los ingresos propios destinados al servicio de la deuda, gracias al trabajo conjunto con la Secretaría de Hacienda estatal, al aumento en la recaudación sin incrementar impuestos y a la contención del gasto corriente.
“Chihuahua ha crecido a un nivel importante de competitividad, pero eso implica una mayor responsabilidad para mantener y fortalecer nuestro liderazgo. Tenemos que generar más talento, fomentar la educación con valor agregado, impulsar la innovación, las patentes, y atender las causas sociales”, señaló.
La directora general del IMCO, Valeria Moy reconoció el esfuerzo detrás de los avances que muestra Chihuahua en el ICE 2025.
Subrayó que esta medición se construye a partir de datos públicos y fuentes como el INEGI: “Lo importante es que sirva para tomar decisiones, identificar verdaderos problemas y enfocar esfuerzos donde realmente se necesitan. La competitividad no es solo atraer talento e inversión, también saber generarlos y retenerlos”, afirmó.
