La diputada local por el Distrito 10 de Ciudad Juárez, María Antonieta Pérez Reyes informó que luego de 5 meses del accidente químico ocasionado por Ferromex, y en el que se derrabaron más de 5,500 kilogramos de ácido sulfúrico, en el municipio de Ahumada, la Sub Dirección Técnica Local de la Profepa y la Semarnat no ha investigado el hecho.
Carece de expediente, y no ha integrado los antecedentes, ni establecido procedimiento especial sancionador para los responsables de este accidente, advirtió.
“Es desconcertante la respuesta que nos dan estas dos dependencias, cuando el Gobierno Federal en sus páginas oficiales dio cuenta que el 6 de septiembre del 2024 se registró un derrame químico provocado un accidente ferroviario”, criticó.
Destacó que incluso se puede leer que la Profepa llevó a cabo una visita de inspección del lugar y que no pudieron hacer mayor labor, porque la Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI) del Estado de Chihuahua tenía asegurada la zona del accidente.
“En esa visita la Profepa constató que los carrotanques estaban descarrilados y que iban a ser levantados hasta que fuera reparada la vía férrea y se detuviera el derrame del ácido”, recordó la legisladora morenista.
Afirmó que no es posible que las oficinas de representación ambiental del Gobierno Federal en Chihuahua, nos responda que no encuentra expediente alguno de este antecedente, cuando son ellos los responsables de continuar con el procedimiento administrativo correspondiente en contra de Ferromex.
Pérez Reyes advirtió que no se quedará con esta respuesta, pues este accidente fue un evento grave que afectó gravemente al medio ambiente y el hábitat, de un área afectada de aproximadamente 191.34 metros cuadrados en la cercanía con el poblado de Ahumada y la zona de los medanos de Samalayuca.
“No podemos aceptar como respuesta que no se tiene ni siquiera registro de este evento. Responderemos con un exhorto y cuestionaremos a la autoridad para que nos corrijan esta respuesta y nos informen que es lo que está pasando en torno a estos hechos”, enfatizó.
En este accidente férreo varios vagones de la empresa Ferromex volcaron tras un frenazo de la máquina del tren causando no solamente el derrame químico por ácido súlfurico, sino la muerte de un menos y lesiones a cuatro personas migrantes que viajaban en la parte superior de los vagones.
Por lo anterior, la legisladora morenista envió un exhorto la Profepa y la Semarnat para que informaran la magnitud del daño ambiental producido por este accidente y cual iba hacer el plan de remediación que por ley Ferromex debe entregar en un plazo no mayor de un mes del derrame a estas dependencias, sin embargo, nada ha ocurrido.u
