La Dirección de Seguridad Pública Municipal implementa de manera permanente recorridos pedestres en plazas comerciales de la ciudad, como parte de las estrategias de prevención del delito y proximidad.
Estas acciones en tienen como objetivo reforzar la presencia policial, inhibir conductas delictivas y brindar mayor seguridad tanto a comerciantes como a ciudadanos que acuden a estos espacios. Durante los recorridos, los elementos mantienen contacto directo con locatarios, personal de seguridad privada y visitantes, atendiendo reportes y ofreciendo orientación preventiva, en cumplimiento de la encomienda del alcalde Marco Bonilla, de contar con una policía más cercana.
La estrategia permite detectar situaciones de riesgo de manera oportuna, además de fortalecer la confianza de la ciudadanía en la labor policial, priorizando la seguridad y tranquilidad de las familias chihuahuenses.
Asimismo, se exhorta a la población a reportar cualquier situación sospechosa al número de emergencias 9-1-1 o a través de los medios oficiales.
