EFE.- La presidenta de México, Claudia Sheinbaum, reveló este lunes que enviará una representación de su gobierno a la investidura de Nicolás Maduro de Venezuela el 10 de enero, lo que marca la primera vez que reconoce la reelección del mandatario, rechazada por distintos gobiernos y organizaciones nacionales e internacionales.
Este anuncio lo hizo en su conferencia matutina, sin dar más detalles, cuestionada por una periodista de Telesur sobre su asistencia a las ceremonias de toma de posesión de Maduro, en Venezuela, y de Donald Trump, en Estados Unidos.
“En el primer caso va a ir una representación o el propio embajador que está en Venezuela (Leopoldo de Gyves), y en el segundo caso, entiendo que todavía no hay invitaciones, no sólo a México, sino que todavía no hay invitaciones en general”, declaró Sheinbaum en el Palacio Nacional.
La presidenta había negado apenas el 13 de diciembre haber recibido unainvitación para asistir al acto protocolario del 10 de enero en Venezuela, donde el abanderado de la oposición mayoritaria, agrupada en la Plataforma Unitaria Democrática (PUD), Edmundo González Urrutia, también asegura que tomará posesión.
Sheinbaum anunció desde el 15 de octubre que su gobierno mantendría una postura imparcial sobre la crisis poselectoral de Venezuela distinta a la que tienen Colombia y Brasil.
El entonces presidente, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (2018-2024), conversó el 1 de agosto con sus homólogos de Colombia, Gustavo Petro, y de Brasil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, sobre Venezuela al coincidir en que deben transparentarse las actas electorales del 28 de julio.
Pero, aunque en octubre no reconoció de forma expresa la reelección de Maduro proclamada por el Consejo Nacional Electoral (CNE), Sheinbaum argumentó que la Constitución prohíbe intervenir en asuntos extranjeros.
“Nosotros tenemos, por la Constitución, una definición muy clara de la política exterior, que es la autodeterminación de los pueblos”, manifestó entonces.
Para la toma de posesión de Sheinbaum el 1 de octubre, Maduro estuvo invitado, pero no asistió y optó por felicitarla en un mensaje público, en el que recordó la historia de hermandad que mantiene con el país norteamericano y con el exmandatario, López Obrador.
