En reunión de trabajo en las oficinas administrativas del Instituto Nacional de Pueblos Indígenas, el titular el Antropólogo Víctor Martínez Juárez y funcionarios del Programa de Apoyo a Educación Indígena, acordaron una serie de objetivos a tratar para mejorar la calidad y atención de los niños indígenas estudiantes en los albergues de estas dos comunidades.
Esta reunión deriva de una declaración pública de la diputada Edith Palma en donde señala que padres de familia de dichas localidades le presentaron una serie de denuncias en las que señalaban la diferenciación y discriminación de la cual son objeto los menores, al no ser contemplados en los programas de becas para escolares indígenas, por lo cual asistió a presenciar la situación que prevalece en esos albergues y lo pudo constatar en específico en el de Santa Anita.
Agradeciendo la disposición de los funcionarios del INPI señaló que darán puntual seguimiento a los acuerdos celebrados por lo que el día viernes realizarán una inspección física de manera conjunta para así encontrar soluciones inmediatas que impacten en la vida de los menores y sus familias.
