El Gobierno Municipal, a través de su Policía Cibernética, exhorta a padres de familia o tutores a cuidar a sus hijos mientras juegan en línea para evitar que se conviertan en víctimas de ciberdelincuentes.
Los menores pueden estar en contacto con personas mal intencionadas mientras jugan videojuegos, haciéndoles creer que son sus amigos para cometer ilícitos de índole sexual o sacarles información personal para extorsionarlos.
Los ciberdelincuentes buscan engancharlos, acosarlos o contactarlos físicamente, con el fin de cometer delitos en su contra, comunicándose con ellos a través de mensajes de texto o de voz, hasta crear una relación y un vínculo cercano.
Uno de los delitos que se busca evitar es el grooming, acción ilícita con fines sexuales que implica el envío de fotografías y contenido erótico.
Es importante que los padres dialoguen con sus hijos sobre los posibles riesgos a los que se exponen y los enseñen a no dar sus datos a desconocidos, sean números de teléfono, direcciones, correos electrónicos o nombres con los que están registrados en las redes sociales.
