Durante la sesión ordinaria del 13 de marzo, se acordó exhortar al Senado de la República y a su Presidente, el Senador Gerardo Fernández Noroña, emitir de manera inmediata la Declaratoria de Constitucionalidad de la reforma al artículo 123 de la Constitución Política de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos, en materia de salarios.
En su posicionamiento, la Diputada Portillo Lerma destacó que esta reforma representa un avance fundamental en la dignificación de los salarios de maestras y maestros, policías, personal de salud, guardias nacionales y otros servidores públicos.
“Es inaceptable que, a pesar de haber cumplido con todo el proceso legislativo, esta reforma siga detenida por omisión del Senado. No hay justificación legal, constitucional ni moral para seguir postergando el derecho de miles de trabajadores a un salario digno. Ya no caben pretextos ni demoras: es momento de saldar esta deuda histórica con quienes sostienen la estabilidad y el bienestar de México”, expresó la legisladora.
La reforma, propuesta originalmente el 5 de febrero de 2024 por el entonces Presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador, ya fue aprobada por ambas Cámaras del Congreso de la Unión y respaldada por la mayoría de las legislaturas estatales, incluido el Congreso de Chihuahua.
Los objetivos de la reforma son: garantizar que el salario mínimo nunca esté por debajo de la inflación y que los servidores públicos en educación, seguridad y salud perciban un sueldo mensual no menor al promedio nacional registrado en el IMSS.
El exhorto aprobado instruye al Senado a cumplir con su responsabilidad constitucional y remitir el decreto al Poder Ejecutivo Federal para su publicación en el Diario Oficial de la Federación, permitiendo así su entrada en vigor y beneficiando a miles de trabajadores en todo el país.
La Diputada Alma Portillo reafirmó su compromiso con la justicia laboral y el reconocimiento de quienes dedican su vida al servicio público, asegurando que continuará impulsando iniciativas que fortalezcan los derechos de las y los trabajadores en Chihuahua y en México.
