El presidente de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación (SCJN), Hugo Aguilar Ortiz y Alejandro Gertz Manero, fiscal general de la República (FGR), sostuvieron su primer encuentro institucional en la sede del máximo tribunal del país.
Fuentes ministeriales y judiciales confirmaron que la reunión se realizó de las 9 a las 10 de la mañana, y la agenda de los temas tratados fue considerada confidencial.
En ese contexto, durante el gobierno de Andrés Manuel López Obrador y la gestión de Arturo Zaldívar al frente de la Corte, se puso en marcha un grupo de trabajo de alto nivel que permitiera atender los asuntos de interés para las autoridades policiales y ministeriales, lo cual agilizó la tramitación de audiencias y la agilización de solicitudes para intervención de comunicación con autorización judicial.
Sin embargo, durante la gestión de la ministra Norma Lucía Piña Hernández, se suspendió el grupo y existen casos en los cuales las audiencias solicitadas por la FGR se han retrasado hasta por más de un año.
El encuentro entre ambos funcionarios se realizó 11 días después de que los nuevos integrantes de la Corte tomaron posesión del cargo.
El pasado 1 de septiembre el ministro Aguilar Ortiz señaló en su discurso de instalación del máximo tribunal: “nuestro objetivo es pasar de una justicia cerrada y excluyente, a una de puertas abiertas, accesible, cercana al pueblo, plural y sin privilegios”.
