La presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum anunció este miércoles que Roberto Velasco Álvarez sustituirá a Juan Ramón de la Fuente al frente de la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores.
La información fue confirmada por la propia presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum a través de una publicación en la red social X, quien en un video explicó que el propio Juan Ramón de la Fuente pidió dejar la Cancillería para someterse a rehabilitación.
En noviembre pasado, el hasta ahora canciller pidió licencia para someterse a una intervención quirúrgica y durante ese tiempo la SRE quedó a cargo de Roberto Velasco Álvarez, subsecretario para América del Norte.
La presidenta señaló en su video que propondrá al Senado la ratificación de Velasco Álvarez como canciller y que De la Fuente se incorporará en otra área una vez que su condición de salud mejore.
