La presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum encabezó en Palacio Nacional una reunión con directores ejecutivos de las principales empresas de la industria automotriz que operan en México, un sector estratégico que aporta alrededor del 4.5 por ciento del Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) nacional.
El encuentro tuvo como objetivo fortalecer la coordinación entre el Gobierno federal y la iniciativa privada ante un entorno internacional marcado por tensiones comerciales, cambios tecnológicos y la próxima revisión del Tratado entre México, Estados Unidos y Canadá (T-MEC).
Durante la reunión, el Gobierno federal subrayó la relevancia de la industria automotriz como uno de los motores del crecimiento económico, la generación de empleo y la atracción de inversión extranjera.
Como resultado del diálogo, se acordó avanzar en la construcción de un plan integral para el desarrollo del sector, mediante la creación de una comisión intersecretarial que permitirá articular políticas públicas en materia de inversión, innovación, empleo, transición energética y competitividad.
