En el marco de la ceremonia de toma de protesta al nuevo Consejo Directivo de Index Juárez para el ciclo 2025-2026, el alcalde de Ciudad Juárez, Cruz Pérez Cuéllar reiteró el apoyo de su administración para fortalecer a este pilar de la economía que es la industria manufacturera de exportación.
“Hoy me da gusto estar en esta toma de protesta de Jaime Ávila Reza”, dijo el alcalde, quien comentó haber tenido el privilegio de trabajar con la anterior directiva de Index.
“La industria maquiladora es un pilar fundamental de nuestro país, imagínense lo que representa para Ciudad Juárez, es impresionante todo lo que se fabrica en esta tierra y que va hacia todo el mundo; lo anterior, gracias a que tenemos la mejor fuerza laboral, así como empresarios audaces que asumen el reto de traer la inversión”, expresó el edil.
“Siempre que existen grandes retos, pero detrás de ellos hay grandes oportunidades, hoy tenemos que verlo así en esta comunidad que se distingue por ser resiliente y trabajadora, aunque, conociendo a las y los juarenses, estoy absolutamente seguro de que vamos a aprovechar cada oportunidad”, dijo el Presidente Pérez Cuéllar.
Si en un lugar del mundo la gente puede caerse y levantarse, aprovechar estos retos y convertirlos en oportunidades, es en Ciudad Juárez, subrayó.
El presidente de Index Nacional, Humberto Martínez Cantú, expresó su agradecimiento al alcalde por el apoyo para resolver los inconvenientes que se han presentado en la ciudad.
“Me da gusto formar parte de este cambio en Juárez y ser testigo del compromiso que tenemos para fortalecer la representación de la industria manufacturera”, indicó.
Destacó el interés de los agremiados en ser parte del desarrollo, la inversión y la generación de empleos.
“El apoyo a las comunidades forma parte de nuestra filosofía y de nuestra razón de ser, aunque para salir adelante en esta época de incertidumbre requerimos de las autoridades certeza jurídica”, agregó.
En tanto, el nuevo dirigente de Index, Jaime Ávila Reza, tomó protesta junto al nuevo equipo de trabajo; “asumo la responsabilidad de dirigir con un profundo compromiso este cargo”, indicó.
Dijo que la maquilladora ha sido y seguirá siendo un motor para la economía de la ciudad, por lo que buscará impulsar, junto con el Gobierno, políticas que incentiven la competitividad para de esta forma asegurar que Chihuahua sea el principal estado en la industria manufacturera de exportación en todo México.
En el evento también estuvieron la Gobernadora Constitucional del Estado, María Eugenia Campos Galván; el secretario de Innovación y Desarrollo Económico, Ulises Fernández Gamboa; el Cónsul General de México en El Paso, Texas, Mauricio Ibarra Ponce de León y el Cónsul General de los Estados Unidos en Ciudad Juárez, Rafael Foley.
