La Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE) informó que las seis personas mexicanas detenidas por Israel, que iban rumbo a Gaza para llevar ayuda humanitaria en la Flotilla Global Sumud, llegaron al puerto de Ashdod y de ahí serán transferidas al centro de detención de Ketziot.
Destacó que se estuvo en contacto permanente con todas las personas mexicanas desde que zarpó la Flotilla, además que se tiene comunicación con sus familiares.
La SRE, a cargo del canciller Juan Ramón de la Fuente, indicó que personal de la Embajada de México en Israel acudió al puerto de Ashdod, al sur de Tel Aviv, para verificar de manera directa las condiciones en el terreno, solicitar el acceso consular y asegurar que se respete su seguridad y su integridad, de conformidad con el derecho internacional aplicable.
“La SRE seguirá dando puntual seguimiento a este lamentable suceso, velando por los derechos de las y los connacionales detenidos y procurando, por todos los medios legales y diplomáticos posibles, su pronto regreso a nuestro país”, dijo.
